WEATHER RESISTANCE

Unlike wood which splinters, expands, warps, bends and cracks under high humidity or changing weather conditions, EVERWOOD is least affected by such variations. WPC is waterproof, anti corrosive, maintaining better thermo dimensional stability between -20 to +50 degrees Celsius in humid tropical conditions.

LOW MAINTENANCE

Unlike wood that needs to be constantly and periodically maintained against the effects of weather, EVERWOOD handles harsh UV rays and rain far better. The natural colours of WPC are more stable in outdoor conditions with no need to treat, seal or paint. Hosing with fresh water or mild sanding renews original colour and grain.

The components of WPC are wood dust,recycled plastics and thermo plastic additives. Raw material for wood dust is sourced from saw mills & wood processing units, recycled plastic from collected waste. These sources of raw material make it a very sustainable solution in the future.

The high demand for hardwood results in exorbitant set-up costs when quality natural timbers are used in large quantities. The composition of recycled plastics safeguards it against the effects of termites insects and mould completely removing the need for regular anti-termite treatment or sealers to protect against mould. WPC is least affected in wet weather conditions and does not rot.

Hollow profiles are lighter and tougher than natural wood which allows for easy installation on rooftops and spaces above ground level. Distributed or point load of WPC installations are considerably lower than natural solid wood, steel or other materials for similar applications.

COMPARISON WITH HARDWOOD


When exposed to the elements, the lifecycle of wood is largely reduced with constant exposure to UV rays and rain. Without regular coating and treatment, wood whether hard or soft eventually succumbs and rots.
